dental Insurance

Our dental office is committed to delivering top-tier dental care while also offering convenient financial options. We collaborate closely with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement and minimize your expenses for covered treatments.

Regrettably, dental insurance has not evolved with the times. The maximum yearly benefit from most dental insurance companies remains fixed at around $1,500, a figure that has remained unchanged since the 1970s – 40 years without adjustment! When considering the effects of inflation, this yearly maximum should realistically be in the range of $12,000 to $15,000, making the current limit seem entirely inadequate.

A significant portion of our patients undergo advanced procedures that often surpass the meager $1,500 annual coverage. Therefore, whether you opt for an “in-network” or “out-of-network” dentist, the financial outcome is the same – a $1,500 annual limit. In fact, every patient who selects Dr. Nicole Mackie as their prosthodontist does so outside their insurance networks because they prioritize high-quality dental work over insurance constraints.

It’s important to note that dental insurance operates differently from medical insurance. Medical insurance offers more reasonable annual benefits. Despite the fact that treatments like dental implants, sedation, bone grafting, complex reconstruction, and other non-covered procedures offer superior results that can significantly improve one’s quality of life, most dental insurance companies do not consider it their responsibility to cover these services. Dental implants are only occasionally included in employee benefit packages.

Keep in mind that insurance companies’ primary commitment is not to provide the best care but to fulfill their contractual obligations with your employer.

Few things in life bring as lasting a benefit as investing in your dental health. While most people purchase a new car every five to seven years, your teeth are a lifelong asset.
